TIRAMISU ΚΑΙ ΟΙ ΙΣΤΟΡΙΕΣ ΤΟΥ
Η πιο διαδεδομένη εκδοχή είναι οτι γεννηθηκε στην Siena τον 17ο αιώνα, όταν ο Αρχιδούκας της Τοσκάνης Cosimo III των Μεδίκων αποφάσισε να επισκεφτεί την πόλη. Oι ζαχαροπλάστες της Siena αποφάσισαν να φτιάξουν ένα γλυκό που χαρακτηρίζει έναν Ευγενή. Έτσι έπρεπε να ήταν ένα "σημαντικό" γλυκό αλλά την ίδια στιγμή να περιείχε απλά υλικά μέσα του και νόστιμα. Στην αρχή το ονόμασαν ""zuppa del duca" αλλά επειδή σύμφωνα με τον μύθο ήταν το αγαπημένο γλυκό των αυλικών επειδή θεωρούνταν αφροδισιακό και κατανάλωναν μεγάλη ποσότητα πριν απο κάθε ερωτική συνεύρεση, άλλαξε το όνομα σε Tiramisu. Mια δεύτερη εκδοχη είναι οτι το γλυκό γεννήθηκε στο εστιατόρειο "El Toula'" στο Treviso γύρω στο 1960. Ο Ιδιοκτήτης του έδινε το γλυκό στους πελάτες του για να πάρουν δύναμη και γι'αυτό ονομάστηκε και Tiramisu. H Τρίτη εκδοχή είναι οτι το γλυκό γεννήθηκε στο Τορίνο απο ένα ζαχαροπλαστείο για τον τότε πρωθυπουργό Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour, για να του δίνει ενέργεια στο δύσκολο έργο του για την ενοποιήση της Ιταλίας, και γι'αυτό ακριβώς ονομάστηκε και Tiramisu.
